Peter is an entertainment lawyer who understands the creative business because he’s lived it.

Peter began his film and television career as a screenwriter, graduating from the Canadian Film Centre’s Prime Time Television Writing Program and later working on television series like Orphan Black and XIII: The Series. He then transitioned to a career as a talent agent, working with some of Canada’s premier literary talent agencies, building and representing a roster of emerging and award-winning talent across everything from high-profile music videos to Hollywood studio films.

Peter has been on both sides of the table, and knows firsthand that for independent artists, creative opportunities often move quickly — and getting practical, understandable legal and business advice shouldn’t be out of reach.

Today, Peter helps writers, directors, creatives, influencers, and independent producers protect their interests and their work, while navigating the business and legal side of their careers. His experience spans talent and production agreements, intellectual property, option and purchase agreements, financing and production services agreements, chain of title and clearances, and a wide range of commercial and technology contracts.
